Before joining Atlanta Plastic Surgery, Dr. Williams had joint appointments with the Craniofacial Center at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle, Washington and an academic position at the University of Washington. He is a graduate from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine (his native state). After completing his training in Plastic Surgery at Emory University in Atlatna, GA, Dr. Williams underwent fellowship training in pediatric and craniofacial surgery at New York University under the direction of Dr. Joseph G. McCarthy. He is an active member of numerous societies including the American Sosiety of Plastic Surgery, American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, and the American Society of Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Williams has contributed extensively in both medical journals and textbooks in the field of pediatric and craniofacial surgery. Dr. Williams currently holds an appointment at Emory University in the Division of Plastic Surgery and maintains privileges at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite as Director of Research in the Center for Craniofacial Deformities. He also has privileges at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta, Northside Hospital, and Egleston Children's Hospital. Private operating rooms in the Aesthetica Center at Atlanta Plastic Surgery are also available for cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Williams is a music enthusiast and supplemented his training with a degree in piano performance. He is also and avid tennis player but his most entertaining past time is raising his four children with his wife. |
